We’re on the lookout for a skilled and driven QA Building Surveyor to join our family friendly company based in Northfleet, Kent.

We are a highly successful Building and Electrical company established in 1984 as a small electrical contractor and we’ve gradually and organically expanded over the years. You will be joining us in our growth as we continue in our vision to deliver high standards of Building and Electrical services with a focus on quality, customer service, value for money and people.

Based in Northfleet, with regular site visits throughout Kent, you will be responsible for providing excellent and professional surveying service under the guidance of the Building and Planning Manager. You’ll wear many hats, from meticulously inspecting buildings, and managing documentation to interpreting plans, liaising with diverse stakeholders, fire safety works, and recommending improvements to meet building regulations.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Building Surveying Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Fire door inspection and fire stopping qualification – desirable.
  • Extensive maintenance surveying experience under your belt.
  • Experience of CDM 2015 principles and their practical application.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to keep everyone informed and engaged.
  • The ability to identify potential problems, analyse options, and find solutions in any situation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in the construction industry.
  • Good IT skills/knowledge of Microsoft office applications.
  • A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel for projects throughout Kent and beyond.
  • It will be an added advantage if you have Fire Engineering or equivalent Fire Qualifications and experience, and desirable if you have IFE or IFSM Membership.

This exciting opportunity offers an annual salary of up to £45k, car allowance, a generous 28 days plus bank holidays, one day holiday for your birthday, up to two days paid leave for volunteer work, pension, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) with excellent training and progression opportunities.
